Start by deciding what problem you’re trying to solve (e.g., reducing local network visibility, avoiding basic ISP-style observability, or trying to meet region-based requirements), then set up and verify that your actual streaming behavior matches that goal.
What it means (and when it helps)
In practical terms, a VPN creates an encrypted tunnel between your device and the VPN provider. For streaming, that means your internet traffic is carried through the VPN connection rather than directly over your local network.
